The process

From your first ideasto a detailed plan.

You’ll work directly with me throughout the design process.

  1. On site at a newly graded backyard: a tape measure stretched across the dirt and a plan sketched on a clipboard.

    Meet on site

We walk the property, take measurements, and talk through your ideas, priorities, and budget. I look at the existing conditions, including sun exposure and drainage, to understand what needs to inform the design.

  2. A coloured landscape plan on a desk beside wood and stone samples, with a 3D rendering of the yard on a laptop.

    Develop the design

I bring the layout, planting, and material selections together in a scaled plan, with realistic 3D views to help you picture the finished space.

  3. Reviewing a design at the kitchen table: pointing to the patio on the printed plan while the 3D view is open on a laptop.
    3

    Review together

We walk through the design and discuss any changes. Two rounds of revisions are included to refine the details and make sure the plan reflects what you need.

  4. A patio being installed: a landscaper setting a large paver with a rubber mallet, the rolled-up plan nearby.

    Put the plan to work

You receive the final drawings, material information, and 3D visuals to guide the next steps, whether you’re working with a contractor or taking on the project yourself.

Ready when you are. Tell me the dirt.
